LEO Club Outreach to Wakisa Ministries – April 5, 2025
On the 5th of April 2025, a group of 29 dedicated members from the LEO’s Club carried out a heartwarming outreach to Wakisa Ministries, a center located a few kilometers east of Wakiso town. Wakisa Ministries provides a haven and essential care for teenage pregnant mothers who have been rejected or abandoned by their families.
The outreach was aimed at providing both emotional support and basic supplies to the young mothers. The team arrived at 3:00 PM and departed at 6:00 PM, spending time with the beneficiaries and sharing words of encouragement and hope.
Items donated included:
- Food items: 50kg of rice, 50kg of sugar, posho, bread, sweets
- Hygiene essentials: sanitary towels, pampers, toilet paper, bathing and washing soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, liquid soap
- School supplies: books, pencils, pens
- Baby and personal care: packed milk, cartons of drinking water, clothes
